My Contract

My Contract
I am a registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors And Psychologists (Reg MBACP)  This ensures that I, as a Counsellor, work ethically and professionally abiding by the high standards set down by the BACP Ethical Framework. You can be assured that my training and commitment to you are built on the values, principles and moral qualities that inform my work.

At the beginning of our first session I have My Contract which we will both read through and sign (you can take a look now if you wish). This contract highlights our responsibilities towards each other whilst in a therapeutic relationship.

Once we have done this, then the space belongs to you. Generally this session enables me to gain a little background about you and what you wish to bring into counselling.  Understanding how things are for you, helps with the process of supporting you.

From this initial session we can then look at going forward - it is entirely your choice.
